Dr. Padma Rao

I am a Board-Certified Family Practice Doctor. I have been in private practice for over 15 years. I graduated from University of Louisville Family Practice program in 2002. I limit my patients per day, so that I can give the quality care they seek and deserve.

April Baker

Hello! I’m April Baker and I’m the Office Manager/Medical Assistant here at Scott County Family Practice. I’ve been with Dr. Padma Rao for 5 years. I look forward to coming into the office everyday, due to the wonderful patients, that are more like family. I’ve been married for 20 years, and have 3 teenage kids…18, 16, and one 15. They are all patients of this office, including me. We all love Dr. Rao.  I also love spending time Dancing, laughing and singing with some of the patients that come here. I consider them my extended family. (Some call me The Singing Nurse, the other’s call me “The Vampire”) I gladly take on that title with honor, as long as they join in on the fun.  I hope to see you soon!

Christie Gilkey

Hey there, my name is Christie Gilkey. I am the Front Desk coordinator here at Scott County Family Practice. Some of my responsibilities include scheduling patients, completing referrals to specialist, and medical records custodian.  I have been working for Dr. Rao since 2015, at first just on an as needed basis but in April of 2016, I was hired full time. My daily goal is to provide the patients with a kind smile and a listening ear. It is my pleasure to work for Dr. Rao but it is truly an honor to serve the patients and to help them in any way I can.
